Faint sweetness in the aroma of malt or corn. Clean taste with a slight twinge of sweetness, but overall pretty bland. No aftertaste except a hint at the very back of the roof of the mouth of a mild sweetness. Totally unremarkable. Sure, make a light lager for people that drink Bud Light, but why? But why not just buy Bud Light?
Nice aroma mix of hop bitterness and some sweetness. Taste is even-handed with a gold balance of hops and sweet malt. Finishes slightly crisp with an intertwining of hop bitterness and malt sweetness- neither one too powerful.
Nice clean hop sweet aroma. Earthy kind of sweetness. No sharp edge, just a moderate hop sweetness with a mildly hoppy aftertaste. Stable malt background, but this is really a showcase for the hops. A hint of a clean that taste complements well.
Strong sweet hop aroma. Nice full flavored hoppiness that’s balanced very well by a strong malt backbone. Leaves you with a mostly malt taste but mixed with a strong hop presence at the same time.
Bottled 11/05/13, bought & drank on 1/3/2014, about 2 months old.
Dark sweet aroma with bourbon hints, but not overpowering at all. Sweet, dark, slight bourbon taste, very well balanced. Finishes with that dark sweet taste lingering a bit before being replaced by a dark malt taste. Delicious, but you have to be in the right mood. Perfect for today’s overcast weather. Bottled on 10/12/13, I drank it on 11/17/13. I’ve read about people cellaring this and such, but I must say it’s delicious one month after bottling.
Slightly sharp, dry-ish hop aroma. Sharp, cutting hop taste but not too strong or harsh. Leaves you with a light malt taste mixed with a moderate hop flavor. Bottled 10/2/13, drank on 10/29/13. I noticed the ABV is about 1% higher than last year’s. Listed as 70 IBU, not sure about last year.
Thick sweet aroma. High alcohol sweetness immediately hits your mouth. Fades out to a moderate hop sweetness which tangentially gives way to a mild malt taste. Bottle says 112 IBU, but doesn’t have the typical hoppiness, probably because of the heavy alcohol content. Not very pleasant. Unfortunate I spent about $6/bottle. Says it was bottled 16 months ago, on 6/18/12. Oh well, I’ll save my money next time.
