Dark roast malt aroma. Smooth initial taste with a sharp afterbite of malt darkness that’s a mix of dark chocolate and almost coffee (but not really ’cause I don’t like coffee). There is a strong hop flavor that then comes in, blended in with the malt darkness, and the whole thing finished very cleanly and dry. No real lingering aftertaste other than a mild smooth black malt flavor.
Faint raspberry aroma. Clean wheat taste with mild raspberry sweetness in the background. Very well balanced taste with wheat and raspberries balancing each other nicely. No artificial raspberry taste at all.
Slight sweet aroma. Crisp taste bite mixed with a mild sweetness at first which fades to a mild malt taste and hop flavor. Finishes fairly light with no significant aftertaste.
Slightly sweet hop aroma. Fresh flavor bite with some harshness. Leaves the mouth with a crisp flavor with hoppy hints around the edges. Further drinks have much more floral hop aroma, as it warms slightly. Bottled on 5/13/2014, drank on 5/28/2014, so it’s very fresh.
Sweet aroma, almost a combination between a light lager aroma and hops. Sweet bite with a slight hop harshness. Leaves a moderately sweet aftertaste. A bit too much edgy hop bitterness. Label says it’s an unfiltered IPA with falconers flight hops.
Slightly sweet aroma with a bit of malt smell. Crisp flavor that’s refreshing, not very hoppy. Followed by a nice even malt flavor then very little aftertaste. Bottle says unfiltered IPA with cascade hops.
Pours out of the bottle like dark used motor oil out of an engine. Sweet, slightly barrel aged” smell. Sharp but thick taste of a very high alcohol stout. Finishes with a slightly sweet dark malt taste and a minor burn like you just sipped a teaspoon of bourbon. In the end, a bit too harsh and “raisin-y” for my taste.
Nice slightly sweet aroma with a slight hint of hops. Nice even flavor that is a little hoppy, but not strongly so. Good strong hop aftertaste that finishes off nicely.
5 out of 5 Stars.
