Faint aroma of hops and a bit of caramel malt. Slightly crisp hop bite that quickly fades and a wave of caramel malt comes in. Next comes a good clean malt taste that is fairly balanced, finishes clean. Wonder how the hop flavors might change if fresher.
No big alcohol presence, surprising it’s 9.5% ABV.
No real aroma. Slightly crisp hop bite at initial taste, fades slowly and blends with some malty sharpnesses. Taste lingers with a slight hop sharpnesses.
Slightly sweet aroma. Very grainy and hearty malt flavor. Slightly sweet aftertaste, but also very clean malt grain flavor. Very reminiscent of the Dusseldorf Alt beers. Love it.
Moderate sweet smell with a bit of hoppiness. Full flavored sweetness that finishes off with a combination of hops, malt, and flavor of high alcohol. Aftertaste is a bit sweet, slightly harsh. Calls itself an Imperial Red IPA. Not sure which word the imperial goes with. Flavor-wise, I think it’s an imperial red that’s also hoppy.
Slight sweet smell. Taste is initial harsh sweetness that sort of strangles your taste buds. But once that fades you’re left with a nice even malt aftertaste that lingers and fades slowly.
Sweet, grainy smell with hints of hops. Nice full mouth feel with a good strong hop taste immediately followed by a moderate sweetness that fades out at a nice gradual rate.
