Nice sweet, sharp hop aroma. Crisp, hop sweetness that instead of a dry hop bite on the end of it, has a milky sweet smoothness. Further drinks have a complex combination of hop sweetness, hop dryness, and a malty caramel taste. Quite interesting. Especially for a Canadian beer.
Slight hop aroma, slight dry grain aroma. Mild sweet flavor with a slight hop flavor mixed with a kind of orange juice flavor. Slight fruity aftertaste which fades quickly. Of course after I get it home and read the bottle closely, our says best by Apr 09 12. Today is Dec 08 12, so I missed that by 8 months. I’m sure that doesn’t help…
Fresh raw grainy hop aroma. Had a slightly sweet taste with the same grainy hop flavors present. Leaves you with a moderate hop taste that just fades to sweetness. Overall is nice, but tastes somewhat constructed” rather than artistically created. 2 Basic flavors patched together. Almost like the bold hop presence is trying to mask a mediocre sweet beer in the background. Very bold surprising taste though for Alexander Keith’s.
Heavy sweet aroma like honey. Very interesting flavor when hitting the mouth with a bit of honey sweetness, a very fruity taste, then a solid clean malt taste. Overall, very interesting and refreshing, almost light tasting- but not like a light beer. Quite unique, in a good way.
Nice fresh strong hop aroma. Grabs taste buds aggressively with a full mouth hop flavor. Hop flavor slowly fades out and lanes you with a slightly harsh but sweet hop flavor that fades ever so slowly… Until your taste buds demand another drink and the cycle starts again.
Slightly sweet aroma. Fairly wet, flat taste with a noticeable hop bite. As the drink goes down the chute, you can taste the oak flavors mix in along with a much stronger hop flavor. Finally there’s a slightly lingering alcohol burn for a brief moment.
Dry aroma with a minor hint of hops. Taste has a moderate hop bite followed quickly by sweetness. Good balance of hops and malt comes in then fades out slowly. Leaves the mouth with a nice balanced flavor with hops winning out slightly. Not anything Canadian I’ve had before, actually has a unique strong flavor with nice hoppiness.
4 out of 5 Stars.
