Faint aroma of dark malt. Taste is slightly sweet malt with dark overtones, but mellows quickly. Hope are present in the background – out of sight, but you know they’re there. Aftertaste is a nice mellow dark malt flavor that isn’t intrusive at all, and no coffee flavors present.
Bright, sweet hop aroma. Nice flavorful hop smoothness, followed by a mellow malt and mild hop flavor. Aftertaste is a mix of that watery hop flavor from the middle plus leftovers from the initial hop bite. Very pleasant and easy to drink.
Faint sweet hop aroma. Sharp bite of hops that gets filled in by a chorus of hop flavor that wants away the bitterness and leaves with a nice mild hop sweetness. Refreshing and flavorful, bright.
Great aromas like sniffing a bag of hops. You can even get the aroma while holding the glass a good 6-8 inches from your nose. Phenomenal. Nice sweet hop bite that’s very flavorful and not bitter. A good chunk of caramel malt sweetness rushes in for attention, but generally gets pummeled back by hops flavor. Notable, but not overpowering hop flavor in the aftertaste that lingers a long time. Great beer, but I don’t think my taste buds could handle the onslaught of more than one.
Dark, sweet, heavy malt aroma. Full coffee flavor that quickly subsides and leaves you with a full-out feel of sweetness. Slight lingering mix of dark malt sweetness and carbonation.
Nice sweet hop aroma. Nice bite of hops with a sweet edge. Good full hop flavor that’s tasty, but not overpowering. Nice clean malt in the aftertaste, again complimented by the hops. Awesome.
Sweet aroma, a bit of strong caramel malt smell. Full flavor, not an all out hop attack like you’d expect based on the name / label. Good balance of hop and malt, with the malt taking a slightly more prominent role. Aftertaste is mainly malt forward, with hints of bitter hops in background that gives way to caramel malt lingering. Left with a slightly harsh impression overall.
Full sweet hop aroma. Flavor is clean and slightly crisp with a mild hop bite followed by a smoothing malt taste that waves in. Aftertaste is a mix of moderate hop bitterness, and a sweet creaminess of malt. Very nice frothy fluffy head.
Moderate hop citrus aroma, not too strong, balanced. Full mouth sweetness that comes in soft and ends resiny. Slight lingering sweetness of hops in aftertaste. No notable alchohol flavor, despite the 8.0% ABV. Aroma comes across much more balanced, but the flavor is pretty strong and resiny. This would be nice if it wasn’t so over the top with the resin flavor.
4 out of 5 stars.
