Untitled Art Cryo Citra IPA
Strong sweet aroma of hops and yeast. Slightly crisp hop bite that gives way to yeast flavors with a hint of pale malt in the background. Leaves palate fairly clean, with moderate hop taste lingering.

Deschutes Black Butte XXXVI
Faint soft aroma almost like a mild fruit. Fairly substantial flavor bite at first of dark malt and yeast sweetness that gradually fades down to just a moderate clean malt taste.
The label says with chocolate and peanut butter. Can’t really taste the peanut butter, but maybe that gives some of the lingering nuttiness. As it warms, hints of the bourbon barrel sneaks in. But still very smooth.
Doesn’t taste at all like 11.1%

Short’s Michigan Porter
Mild aroma of dark chocolatey malts. Tweaks the palate with dryness from the yeast and quickly fills in with clean dark malt flavors. Finishes fairly clean with hints of dark chocolate lingering on the edges.

Faint resinous hop aroma. Smooth taste on the palate, some mild hop flavors come in, mixed with some light caramel-y malts. Very light flavor overall, and easy to drink large amounts. But the flavor is so mild, it doesn’t really beg lots of drinking…

Lagunitas Born Yesterday
Bottled 9/30/2024, drank on 11/2/2024. Fresh, bright hop aroma. Easy on the palate with no real hop bitterness. Flavor slowly builds to a smooth hop taste that dominates, along with nose full of hops on each drink. Heavy on hop flavors, but low on bitterness.

Bright hop aroma. Sweet hop flavor that’s flat and dry on the palate. Yeast flavor lingers briefly but overall palate is left clean with just hints of smooth malt.

Throne Brewing Graham Cracker Molasses Porter
Slightly sweet aroma. Broad palate of flavors, but finishes very clean and with no apparent bite from hops. Slightly sweet aftertaste lingers a bit, but overall tastes fairly light. Surprising this is a 6.8% beer.

Nice aroma of bright hops. Smooth on the palate, but strong dank hop bitterness builds from back of palate. Becomes more rounded in hop flavor, but leaves lingering bitterness with some yeast flavor.
