Very notable sweet aroma, thick and heavy. Sharp sweet hop bite, but mellow/smooth on the backside. The barrel aged sweetness slowly sneaks in to the aftertaste. Bottle 438 of 816, small batch brewed. Hides the high alcohol content well. I can’t believe the small print says made with chamomile, rose petals, & juniper. Sounds yuck.
Sweet, dry hop aroma. Grainy, slightly raw hop flavor with a slight sweetness on the back. Fades smoothly with a faint hop flavor lingering. Bottled 9/4/13, drank on 10/30/2013.
Slightly sharp, dry-ish hop aroma. Sharp, cutting hop taste but not too strong or harsh. Leaves you with a light malt taste mixed with a moderate hop flavor. Bottled 10/2/13, drank on 10/29/13. I noticed the ABV is about 1% higher than last year’s. Listed as 70 IBU, not sure about last year.
Heavy sweet aroma like honey. Very interesting flavor when hitting the mouth with a bit of honey sweetness, a very fruity taste, then a solid clean malt taste. Overall, very interesting and refreshing, almost light tasting- but not like a light beer. Quite unique, in a good way.
Slightly sweet aroma. Nice mild hop taste that blends in with a malty sweetness. Mild sweetness flavor lingers, drawing you back for another and another drink. Dangerous…
Slight hop aroma. Initial hop bite with a fresh taste. Hop flavor quickly fills your mouth and fades slowly while a hint of maltiness creeps in. Nice thick cloudiness that glows but you can’t see through.
Very nice sweet, strong hop aroma. Initial taste hits your palate like a nice strong stout with a big roasted malt flavor. Somehow in a kind of seamless transition the dark malt flavor it’s replaced by a clean hop flavor that fades out slowly. Very interesting flavor combination and trip through the taste buds.
Slight sweet smell. Nice even flavored hop flavor, with a nice malty hop flavor on the end. Leaves you with a slightly sweet, but clean taste. Flavorful, but not over the top.
