Clean dark malt aroma with hints of fruit sweetness. Taste is initially one of sweet cherries but quickly is replaced by a dry coffee-like dark malt taste. After a few more drinks the coffee flavor mellows out and a nice residual cherry sweetness is left.
Nice clean hop sweet aroma. Earthy kind of sweetness. No sharp edge, just a moderate hop sweetness with a mildly hoppy aftertaste. Stable malt background, but this is really a showcase for the hops. A hint of a clean that taste complements well.
Clean hoppy aroma. Crisp flavor bite that comes in with a nice malt taste. Followed by hints of the rye sweetness but matched with a hop bite that keeps it from being too sweet. Fairly clean finish. Full flavored, but doesn’t come across as 8%, so it could be deceptive.
Strong sweet hop aroma, very succulent. Initial flavor has hop bite, then quickly changes to a mixed hop bouquet of flavors. Backed up by a hearty malt backing, but left with a hop bitterness than lingers. Very powerful flavors going on here, but excellently balanced and doesn’t give me any hints of its massive ABV.
