They re vamped their recipe a year or two ago, so i figured it needed an updated review…
Bright sweet hop aroma. Clean crisp bite of hops and balanced with some caramel maltiness. Both are flavorful, neither overpowering the other. Very smooth mouthfeel, with a slight caramel malt lingering in aftertaste.
Very sweet aroma, not quite bourbon like but similar. Sharp flavor bite of sweetness like dark chocolate, quickly followed by strong (but not overpowering) coconut flavors. Finishes witha mild dark malt roastiness that’s smooth.
Faint sweet malt aroma. Refreshing taste slightly crisp but soft. Light flavor mix of malt and hops. Decent. Fairly smooth and flavorful, but nothing stands out very prominently.
Faint sweet aroma. Almost puckering, almost sharp sweet flavor. Gets very smooth and any sharpness subdues and leaves you with a mild lingering sweetness. Combination of grapefruit and pineapple flavor in the hop bitterness. Interesting.
Nice strong citrus aroma. Taste is a mouthful of nice via flavors, not too sharp. Finish is quite fruity almost like fruit loops. Nice, but not sure if I could do more than one.
Dark, sweet, heavy malt aroma. Full coffee flavor that quickly subsides and leaves you with a full-out feel of sweetness. Slight lingering mix of dark malt sweetness and carbonation.
Moderate hop citrus aroma, not too strong, balanced. Full mouth sweetness that comes in soft and ends resiny. Slight lingering sweetness of hops in aftertaste. No notable alchohol flavor, despite the 8.0% ABV. Aroma comes across much more balanced, but the flavor is pretty strong and resiny. This would be nice if it wasn’t so over the top with the resin flavor.
Sweet citrusy hop aroma. Crisp flavor bite, but with a resiny flavor that has some alcohol heat detectable. Gets a bit smoother on further drinks and/or as beer slightly warms.
I typically like everything on the cold side, but this one definitely needs to warm a bit to blend the flavors better and kill the resiny alcohol bite.
Faint sweet smell of hops. Crisp bite of light hops and very light malt. Finishes with a slightly tangy yeast sweetness them a lingering hop sweetness.
As it warms a bit, clean malt taste starts to be more notable.
4 out of 5 stars.
