Fresh, clean aroma with hints of dark malt, but not overly sweet like stout aromas can sometimes be. Taste starts very smooth, then surges in with malt taste complexity and light crisp hop support, then fades to a fresh, dry dark malt flavor. Finishes with a clean palate, but lingering memories of all the taste complexity that was hiding in the last sip.
Heavy sweet aroma, with hints of alcohol hiding in the background. Initial taste is slightly sweet, but crisp. Fades and blends into various heavy, smooth, dark malt tastes. Minor aftertaste of slightly sweet malt- but not dark or heavy. Surprisingly drinkable for 10% ABV.
Strong sweet aroma of fruit and a sweet treat. Flavor has a crisp bite from hops intermixed with malt and yeast, that gives saliva glands a kick and immediately becomes mouth-watering. Aftertaste is a mild one of hops in background with a bit of mild malt taste. Overall finish is very dry.
Aroma of bright floral hops, with a mild malt sweetness in the background. Slightly crisp taste, followed by creamy yeast flavor, and ending with light floral hop taste that lingers and fades smoothly. Refreshing.
Strong aroma of sweet malt, and resinous hops. Taste is slightly sweet, almost fruity. Thick resin flavor comes in, along with a hop bite. Hints of the 9% alcohol in subsequent drinks. Very flavorful, but not overpowering like most Imperial IPA are.
Sweet fruity aroma, mainly smells like hops. Taste is slightly cloying and sweet with a slightly bigger edge. This fades as a slow crescendo of peach flavor slowly builds. Finish is very nice and tasty, not juice-like or over fruity at all. Refreshing, and it hides its 8.9% ABV amazingly well.
Bottled 4/12/2022, tasted on 4/30/2022. Super fresh.
Aroma of mild chocolate and fresh peanuts mixed in. Interesting flavorful taste that dips in and out, hinting at strong flavors, then suddenly disappearing. Seems like it’s gonna settle in on a mild roast coffee flavor, then that, too, fades away. Very flavorful, and the dry finish leaves it not too heavy/sweet for another drink.
Canned 11/29/2021, tasted on 1/15/2022. Fresh, sweet hop aroma, very nice. Slightly sweet and puckering, but cleans off the palate quickly. Slight lingering hop fruitiness. Very nice and balanced. Full of fruity hop flavor, but no clinging aftertaste.
Nice aroma of dark malts mixed with a strong hop sweetness. String dark malt bite with a coffee like roastiness. Hop bitterness wipes the palate clean with a gusto, leaving the faintest remnants of sweet dark malts way in the background. Crisp and refreshing for such a dark beer.
Slightly sweet, clean malt aroma of Munich malt. Slightly crisp malt taste with a slight hop bite. Aftertaste is mild Munich malt sweetness. Very tasty, like halfway between a Dusseldorf Alt and an Oktoberfest.
