Slightly sweet, clean aroma of vanilla and dark malt. Very sweet taste, quickly replaced by a maltiness that’s slightly dark malt flavor, but very mild. Sweetened with Michigan maple syrup and you can taste that in the initial flavor.
Faint sweet dark malt aroma. Full mouth sweetness that gets replaced quickly by a dark malt taste that fades out smoothly. Leaves a faint sweetness lingering.
Faint sweet smell. Distinct dark malt taste with an edge of hop bitterness/roughness. Slight lingering taste of dark malt sweetness and a taste that hints of a high ABV. Overall, a decent stout.
No aroma- the thick frothy head probably acts like an odor barrier. Maybe faint sweet hints of smell. Hits palette pretty evenly without a real strong flavor other than a moderate malt taste. Finishes creamy smooth then a dark malt taste sneaks in and proceeds to fade out slowly, then left with no taste.
Had on tap in Irish pub in Belgium. Seemed to have proper/good nitro dispensing for a nice pour, but no carbonation.
3.5 out of 5 Stars.
